When you return the car outside the opening hours of the rental location; you have to park the vehicle in Enterprise assigned parking in “Parking Centrum Oosterdok” (address: Oosterdoksstraat 150, 1011DK Amsterdam). Leave the parking ticket on the dashboard and lock the vehicle. Accordingly place the key in the drop box located in the elevator area.

The minimum age requirement to rent all vehicles is 25. The maximum age to rent is 80. Renters between the age of 18 and 24 may rent all categories except Full Size, Premium, Luxury and Special. A young driver fee of 10.00 EUR per day applies to all renters between the age of 18 and 24. Young drivers must have held their driving license for a minimum of 1 year.

Vehicles can be driven in Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the Vatican (Area 1). Standard, Full-Size, Premium, Luxury and Special vehicles, as well as the brands Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen, are not permitted to go into Area 2. A surcharge of 5.00 EUR per day excl. VAT (21%) will apply for all cross-border travels to Area 2. Prior authorisation to leave the country with the vehicle is not required, except when travelling to countries in Area 2. Limit your liability and avoid extra costs by choosing a coverage option. By choosing extra options online you benefit from the best pricing.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional coverage that reduces the applicable excess amount in case of damage to and/or theft of the vehicle. If CDW is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase.

CDW reduces the excess to €1,100 for Mini, Economy, and Compact vehicles; €1,400 for Intermediate and Standard vehicles; and €1,700 for Full‑size, Premium, and Luxury vehicles. For Special category vehicles, the excess is reduced to €3,000. The excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged, lost or stolen.

Before purchasing CDW, it is advisable to determine if the renter's personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If CDW is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges up to the excess amount and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. CDW is not insurance.

Location services delivery and collection for corporate accounts. Please contact the branch for further information.

For all reservations, there is a lead time of 1 hour from the time the booking is made before it is confirmed. All vehicles will be held for up to half an hour after the scheduled pick-up time during opening hours. If you are running late, please contact the branch to make them aware of this.

All hires where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it was collected from will be subject to a one-way fee. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location and pick-up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category. For all one-way hires (domestic or international), authorisation must be obtained either prior to arrival or at the hire counter. If the renter returns the vehicle one way without authorisation or returns the vehicle to any other location than the return location reflected on their rental agreement, an additional repatriation fee will be charged. Unauthorised international one-way drop-offs will incur a repatriation fee of €1200 (excluding VAT), in addition to the applicable standard one-way fee. Domestic one-way drop-offs are available between hire branches in the Netherlands. International one-way drop-offs are possible at selected Airport branches in Belgium, France, Germany and Luxembourg only.

As a customer, you can choose how to pay for fuel or EV recharging when returning the vehicle.

You may refuel or recharge the vehicle to the same level as received at the time of hire. If you choose not to refuel or recharge the vehicle to the same level, you will be charged the local rate, which is typically above the local fuel price or kilowatt-per-hour price.

Before the hire, you may opt to prepay for a full tank of fuel or battery charge. Prepay gives you two conveniences: You can avoid the hassle of refuelling or recharging the vehicle before returning it. You will be charged for the full tank of fuel or electric charge upfront at a competitive rate, and you can return the vehicle empty.

Note: Prepaid fuel is only sold in full tanks at the discounted price per gallon/litre. Local fuel and kilowatt rates will vary by the area in which you are hiring a vehicle. A full EV charge is considered above 80%. No refund will be offered for unused fuel or battery charge.

All-season tyres are available to purchase at time of pick-up on a limited number of car categories between 1st November and 31st March for a daily charge of 25.00 Euro and maximum 250.00 Euro per hire. In cases of loss or damage, a replacement fee of up to 3500.00 Euro applies. If travelling cross border, all-season tyres may be a legal requirement. Please check with the hire branch at time of hire.

All major credit cards, issued by either American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Diners Club are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. Digital cards (Apple Pay/Google Pay etc.), traveler checks, prepaid cards, cash, debit cards and retail store cards are not accepted as methods of payment. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. The deposit is 400 EUR for the categories Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate and Standard and 800 EUR for the categories Full-Size, Premium and Luxury. For the categories Special the deposit is 5000 EUR. Please note that for the Luxury and Special vehicles two major credit cards in the main drivers name are required for security purposes.

All drivers must present a fully valid driving licence. Electronic or digital driving licences are not accepted. All drivers must have held their licence for at least 1 year. In addition, all renters must present a valid photo ID, such as a passport or government-issued photo ID. A valid credit card in the renter's name must be presented upon collection of the vehicle. If the driving licence is written in a language and characters different from those of the country of hire, an International Driving Permit is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licences from countries that are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.

Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP) is required by law and included in all rates. This protection provides the renter and any authorised drivers coverage against bodily injury and property damage that you might inflict on a third party as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. The amounts of liability cover are available upon request. You must comply with all rental terms and conditions to receive the benefit of SLP.

All the vehicles in the enterprise fleet are insured against bodily injury and property damage that you might inflict on a third party as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. The amounts for such liability cover are available on request. In particular, you must comply with the rule concerning permitted destinations, as set out in the - General Car Rental conditions of Enterprise Rent - A - Car NL - in order to have the full benefit of the insurance provisions.
